DID NORTH KOREA FAKE THE NUKE TEST?
October 10, 2006 - 07:17
U.S. intelligence experts are saying that the blast the North Koreans set off as their test of a nuke did not hit the levels expected, and that they may not have successfully achieved a nuclear reaction. Yeah, but they apparently TRIED to do it; doesn't that count for something? CLICK HERE.

TEACHING ISLAM IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
October 10, 2006 - 07:20

Another public school, this time in Oregon, is teaching children about Islam by having them study the Koran, learn prayers and wear Muslim dress. If they were reading the Bible, talking about Jesus and dressing as priests and nuns the ACLU would go nuts! But since it is the "peaceful and tolerant" religion of Islam the ACLU is strangely silent. CLICK HERE.

DOES HOMEWORK HELP STUDENTS LEARN?
October 10, 2006 - 07:27
I guess it depends on whether it is simply busy work or actually instructive. But there is a growing trend among teachers to limit or even pass on dispensing homework altogether. Do teachers give too much homework, or too little? CLICK HERE.

October 10, 2006 - 08:33
Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam has linked up with NY City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to crack down on guns. CLICK HERE.

SOME VIDEO GAME GEEKS ARE EARNING BIG BUCKS.
October 10, 2006 - 07:32
The next time you get on your kid for spending too much time playing video games, don't be surprised if he or she throws up the name of Tom Taylor. Who??? He's an 18 year old video game phenom who is pulling down six figures playing and endorsing the games. (But true to stereotype, he still lives with his mom.) CLICK HERE.

RUNAWAY BRIDE SUES FORMER FIANCEE.
October 10, 2006 - 07:37
Remember Jennifer Wilbanks? She was the infamous "runaway bride." Ultimately, she and her fiancee got back together for about a year, wrote a book and made about half a million dollars profiting from their fame. Now they have split up, and Jennifer claims she did not get her split of the profits. She's suing. What a pair of nitwits. I think they deserve each other. CLICK HERE.

COURIC CONTINUES RATINGS DROP.
October 10, 2006 - 07:25
Each week since she went on the air Katie Couric has had fewer viewers than she did the week before. She has put CBS right back into third place among the big 3 networks, and at the rate she is going NOBODY will be watching within a few months. When will they learn? WATCH FOX NEWS!!! CLICK HERE.
Katie Couric exits the CBS television studios after the airing of her first broadcast as anchor of the 'CBS Evening News,' on Sept. 5, 2006, in New York. Her fifth week at the helm of the news show was the toughest for Couric, whose viewership has dropped each week since her debut. Her newscast came in third among the three network news shows, in television ratings released Monday, Oct. 9, 2006.(AP Photo/ Louis Lanzano)

BREDESEN WILL CAMPAIGN FOR INCOME TAX ARCHITECT BOB ROCHELLE.
October 10, 2006 - 07:41
Phil Bredesen says we don't "need" an income tax; but he has not been willing to sign a pledge to oppose it if he is elected to a second term as Governor. And if he is REALLY against an income tax, why is he trying to help elect the ethically challenged architect of the income tax? Every Tennessee Governor who has been elected to a second term has toyed with the income tax; do you really think Phil Bredesen will be different from Ned McWherter, Lamar Alexander, or Don Sundquist in this regard? CLICK HERE.

The race between Rochelle and Senator Mae Beavers is definitely heating up. By the way, did you know that Rochelle's campaign manager is a liberal ACLU activist? CLICK HERE.

October 10, 2006 - 07:48

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
