BAD NEWS FOR CORKER.
October 12, 2006 - 07:20

Conservative columnist and Republican political activist Frank Cagle of Knoxville has endorsed Harold Ford, Jr. in the race for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee. I'm not kidding. Read his reasoning HERE. Corker already faces problems in motivating and mobilizing the Republican conservative base, this won't help.

REPUBLICANS CROSS THE AISLE FOR DEMOCRAT SEN. DOUG HENRY.
October 12, 2006 - 10:28
Here is one major reason why Conservatives are looking for payback this election season. Conservatives are being chastised for not marching in lock-step to support the party nominee, a moderate, in the U.S. Senate race, but the moderate Republican moneymen are free to abandon CONSERVATIVE party nominees in the Governor's race and in State Senate races with impunity. Governor Bredesen was elected 4 years ago because Republican moderates wouldn't back a conservative nominee. The rift in the Republican party in Tennessee is widening, and stories like this are why. By the way, why ARE so many rich, moderate Republicans willing to be a part of the "Nose Pickers for Wilder" team? CLICK HERE.

GILL NAMED NASHVILLE'S BEST CONSERVATIVE.
October 12, 2006 - 07:21

For the third, maybe fourth, year in a row Steve Gill is named "Best Local Conservative" by the Nashville Scene. CLICK HERE.

YANKEE PITCHER BOUND FOR NASHVILLE WHEN PLANE CRASHED.
October 12, 2006 - 07:23

The flashback to 9-11 yesterday, as we saw images of a plane that had crashed into a building in Manhattan, ended up having a Nashville connection. NY Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle was on his way to Nashville to meet up with a poker buddy when he was killed in the plane crash. CLICK HERE.

TAX CUTS INCREASE REVENUES; DEFICIT AT LOWEST POINT IN 4 YEARS.
October 12, 2006 - 07:32
Despite tax cuts that have supposedly rewarded the "rich," tax revenues to the U.S. Government have increased as the economy rebounded from 9-11. Don't expect to see a lot of coverage of this story in the mainstream media. CLICK HERE.

TENNESSEAN BIAS REVEALED IN COVERAGE OF FAKE VOTER REGISTRATIONS.
October 12, 2006 - 07:27

Earlier this week the Nashville Tennessean trumpeted a front page story about a handful of bogus voter registrations that had been generated by a group paid by the Republican Party to register voters. Today, a couple of bogus registration forms have been discovered that were generated by a group paid by the DEMOCRAT Party, but the headline does not mention the Democrats and the story is buried in the second section of the paper rather than featured as the top story on the front page. The Tennessean constantly claims that it does not allow its editorial preferences to bleed over into the news pages. Baloney!! CLICK HERE.

Mark Brown of the Tennessee Democrat Party emailed in to note that there is no indication that the Democrats funded the efforts of ACORN in Tennessee. Interesting, the Tennessean gets a story wrong AND buries it all at the same time!!

WILL FORD VOTE FOR REID AS MAJORITY LEADER IF HE IS ELECTED?
October 12, 2006 - 07:37
As I watch the television commercials being aired by Harold Ford, Jr. in his race for the U.S. Senate and learn how disturbed he is by the fact that Bob Corker has actually made money during his business career, I couldn't help but wonder if revelations of how Democrat Senator Harry Reid (poised to become Majority Leader if the Dems take control of the Senate) got a million dollar payday from a questionable land deal will bother Congressman Ford? What do you think? I suspect that he has no problems with Democrat corruption, despite his claim to be an "independent voice." CLICK HERE.

DOGGIE DESSERTS?
October 12, 2006 - 07:39
Mocha, the Gill family dog, usually has to make do with whatever the boys happen to drop on the floor. But now a company is planning a whole line of desserts for dogs, including ice cream. Can dogs get "brain freeze"? CLICK HERE.

TURN UP THE "COPS" THEME MUSIC.
October 12, 2006 - 07:43
"Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do..." A small town police chief was caught in the act of stealing the windshield of a golf cart. Rule number one for cops committing crimes: don't wear your uniform! This particularly applies when you are shoplifting in the wake of a hurricane. CLICK HERE.

October 12, 2006 - 08:21

"OTHER" DUKE LACROSSE DANCER DISPUTES KEY PROSECUTION CLAIMS
October 12, 2006 - 17:55
The Duke lacrosse "rape" case has smelled fishy from the beginning. It is increasingly clear that there was no rape, and the accuser lied. Now 60 Minutes is ripping the case apart. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
