HAS BREDESEN LIED ABOUT TENNCARE?
June 13, 2005 - 09:39
Blogger, and former journalist, Sharon Cobb says that documents she has uncovered prove that the Tennessee Governor has lied about his TennCare reforms. Here is the link. Check it out. Looks convincing to me. CLICK HERE.

EMPLOYERS FAIL TO POLICE ILLEGAL ALIEN HIRES.
June 13, 2005 - 09:40
A lot of employers claim ignorance about illegals who are on their payroll, but most fail to use an available database that could help reveal illegals at the time of their hiring. I bet they would check the files if the punishment for hiring illegals was strengthened and enforced. CLICK HERE.

ALL NFL THUG TEAM
June 13, 2005 - 09:40
Forget "The Longest Yard," the football talent available to any prison could put together the best criminals in the NFL would beat any fictional team Hollywood can come up with. CLICK HERE.

NO WONDER THEY ARE NOT TALKING.
June 13, 2005 - 09:41
Apparently, one of the interrogation techniques that U.S. forces are using is playing Christina Aguilera music for the detainees. Aguilera can sing, unlike many of the other partially clad pop stars du jour. Play some Ashlee Simpson and they will be spilling their guts. CLICK HERE.

CAFTA FACTS AND FIGURES.
June 13, 2005 - 09:41
A caller this morning asked about the proposed CAFTA trade agreement. Here is some information about the free trade agreement from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Congress will have to approve the trade agreement, just as they did with NAFTA over a decade ago. CLICK HERE.

BRITS CONSIDER TREATING TODDLERS AS CRIMINALS.
June 13, 2005 - 09:42
The UK seems to be moving in the direction of "Minority Report" - prosecuting kids because their parents are criminals. Under the plan, kids as young as 3 could be tagged as "future criminals."  CLICK HERE.

A TRULY STUPID IDEA!
June 13, 2005 - 09:42
Take your dog to work day is June 24. Oh, I can hardly wait. This is the dumbest idea since Richard Gere started "Take Your Gerbil To Work Day" in San Francisco. CLICK HERE.

LACROSSE BOOM GETS SOME MEDIA ATTENTION.
June 13, 2005 - 09:43
The Nashville City Paper focuses on the growing interest in the sport of lacrosse here in middle Tennessee in this morning's edition. It is a perfect boy sport: lots of scoring, lots of physical play, and you whack each other with sticks. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
