DIXIE CHICKS CANCEL CONCERTS IN SOUTH, TURN NORTH TO CANADA.
June 14, 2006 - 13:56
This may be another good reason to impose stricter security at the border...both north and south. Let the Chicks out, don't let them back in. And do you think it is a coincidence that the Dixie Chicks are scheduling concerts in Canada right after they learn how many anti-American terrorists are up there? You have to give them credit, they DO know their audience. CLICK HERE.

PRO INCOME TAX ATTORNEY GENERAL SEEKS SPOT ON SUPREME COURT.
June 14, 2006 - 13:58
Attorney General Paul Summers wants to be on the Tennessee Supreme Court. That would be disastrous for Tennessee taxpayers. Summers is a supporter of a Tennessee Income Tax, and is willing to ignore previous opinions of the Supreme Court to push one throush (see opinion below). Any consideration by Governor Bredesen of Paul Summers for the Tennessee Supreme Court will be a clear indication that Bredesen is creating an environment that will result in the eventual passage of a state income tax.
Here is the first sentence of the conclusion in his 1999 Opinion regarding the constitutionality of a state income tax followed by a link to the entire opinion:
"Upon this analysis, it seems clear that the General Assembly does have the power to levy a properly-structured income tax as a privilege tax imposed on income-producing activities and measured by earnings, as a tax on income as a species of intangible personal property, and possibly as a direct and uncategorized tax imposed under the legislature's inherent authority."

Call the Governor today and let him hear your thoughts about putting a pro-income tax lackey on the Tennessee Supreme Court. 615-741-2001. |

ANOTHER MEDIA MISREPRESENTATION.
June 14, 2006 - 13:59
Yesterday we chatted with Joey Vento, the owner of Geno's, about the sign he put up in his Philly restaurant requesting that patrons "speak English" when ordering. The Mainstream Media insists on ignoring the word "please" that is on his sign. Doesn't that make it a request rather than an order? CLICK HERE.
