FOX NEWS REPORTER STEVE CENTANNI KIDNAPPED IN GAZA.
August 14, 2006 - 13:55
Fox News reporter Steve Centanni has been a guest on the Steve Gill Show in the past. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with him and his family. CLICK HERE.
Meanwhile, the Dems are yucking it up about a reporter and cameraman being kidnapped by terrorists. They show their true colors don't they? And they say Republicans are mean and heartless?? CLICK HERE.

BIG NEWS AT CHANNEL 2 TODAY.
August 14, 2006 - 08:53
News 2 WKRN is shaking things up...again. In recent weeks News 2 has hired Steve Gill as their chief political analyst, moved Joe "on the Go" Dubin to the sports anchor chair, and brought Brad Schmitt over from the Tennessean. Now they are adding the top investigative reporter at the Tennessean to their lineup: Trent Siebert is moving to Channel 2! Will the last reporter at the Tennessean turn out the lights? CLICK HERE.
If you have not been watching Channel 2 News, now is the time to switch if you really want to know what is going on in Middle Tennessee. One noted blogger says that WKRN is the New York Yankees of the Nashville broadcast market. Does that make WKRN GM Mike Sechrist the George Steinbrenner of Nashville? CLICK HERE. |

JERRY SPRINGER WILL COMPETE ON "DANCING WITH THE STARS".
August 14, 2006 - 14:08
I am not sure which contestant is making me laugh harder: Jerry Springer or the bow-tied faux conservative Tucker Carlson from MSNBC. Does anybody really want to see either of these guys dance? Maybe this is just a really sick joke, right? Other contestants on the popular sur-reality show will be: Harry Hamlin (his wife Lisa Rinna competed last year), country music star Sara Evans (ok, I'll watch to see her), former NFL superstar Emmit Smith (maybe Eddie George can do it next year), and Joey Lawrence (who is apparently tabbed to represent the boy band slot). Do you realize how hard it is to type when you are laughing at the thought of Jerry Springer and Tucker Carlson doing the rhumba?!?!?!?! The fun starts September 12. CLICK HERE.

ISRAEL-HEZBOLLAH AGREE TO CEASE FIRE.
August 14, 2006 - 08:29
This will give Hezbollah time to import more missiles and rockets from Syria. Why does giving the enemy time to rest and rearm look like a good idea from an Israeli standpoint? Even Israel is going weak-kneed in the face of terrorism. What chance does the rest of the world have when those who have faced terror the longest don't have the will to win? CLICK HERE.
UPDATE: The ceasefire isn't even four hours old and Hezbollah has already broken the terms! Is anybody really surprised? CLICK HERE. |

DALLAS CONSIDERS BAN ON TOY GUNS.
August 14, 2006 - 08:37
The City of Dallas is thinking about imposing a ban on toy guns. Why? Because the murder rate in the city is several times the national average. How many people in the city have been killed with toy guns? None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Not a single one. The insanity of the Left is on display in Dallas. Let's ban something that has never killed anybody because criminals and gang bangers are killing people with guns that, in most cases, they posess illegally in the first place. Execute murderers swiftly and publicly, then you will see the murder rate go down. Crime without punishment inspires more criminal activity. Punishment prevents crime. This is really simple stuff, we just don't apply it. CLICK HERE. |

KING OF SUPPLY-SIDERS MOVES TO TENNESSEE!
August 14, 2006 - 09:58
Arthur Laffer, the guy who shaped Ronald Reagan's pro-growth economic policies, has left California and moved to Nashville...in large part because of our NO INCOME TAX. Maybe we can get him involved in some legislative races this fall to help keep it that way!!! CLICK HERE. |

ALL OF THE MISSING EGYPTIAN STUDENTS ARE NOW IN CUSTODY.
August 14, 2006 - 13:59
17 students came to the U.S. from Egypt for a month-long program at Montana State University. Only 6 actually showed up at the university. The other 11 prompted a nationwide hunt, and the last few were found yesterday in Richmond, Virginia. Deport all of them; NOW! And don't let any others from Egypt come in. Yes, the acts of a few CAN ruin things for everybody. CLICK HERE. |

MORE ON THE MYSTERIOUS TRACPHONE PURCHASERS.
August 14, 2006 - 14:19
Three Arab men who were buying up untraceable, disposable cell phones in Michigan are still in police custody today. The FBI is now discounting the threat to a major bridge in the area, but this case is still very, very strange. The men claim that they pay $20 for the phones and sell them elsewhere for $38 -- without the packaging and rechargers. Hmmm, who would pay an $18 dollar premium for something you can buy cheaper at any Walmart, Target or other discount store in the country? And why don't they need the chargers? Why don't they want a receipt and the packaging that comes with a "new" phone? Very strange. What is more strange, and more disturbing, is the fact that this apparently does NOT raise any suspicions by the FBI. CLICK HERE. |

BRIT GOVERNMENT HAS LOST 24,000 IDENTIFICATION PASSES.
August 14, 2006 - 14:22
Kudos to the Brits for disrupting the plot to blow up airliners bound for the U.S. But now we learn that they have apparently lost 24,000 security identification cards that give access to secure government and military installations. Maybe we should say "not so secure" government and military installations! One step forward, two steps back. CLICK HERE. |

PEW RESEARCH SHOWS MUSLIM LOYALTY TO RELIGION TRUMPS COUNTRY.
August 14, 2006 - 16:00
By an overwhelming margin British Muslims put a higher priority on loyalty to their faith than to their country. Not surprisingly, there are therefore many Muslims willing to betray their country in order to promote the radical ideology of their Islamic beliefs. Christians are much more split on the issue. Unfortunately, the poll does not reveal where U.S. Muslims stand on the issue. CLICK HERE.

MAYBE DOPEY WAS A REFERENCE TO JUSTICE GINSBERG?
August 14, 2006 - 18:17
A new survey indicates that more people can name the 7 dwarfs than can identify the Justices on the U.S. Supreme Court. (Hint: Souter, Ginsberg, Alito, Thomas, Roberts, Breyer, Stevens, Kennedy and Scalia -- those are the Justices, not the Dwarfs, by the way.) CLICK HERE. |
