FORD USES CHURCH AS BACKDROP IN NEW TELEVISION AD.
September 14, 2006 - 08:55
It seems to me that a church should not be used as a prop in a political ad. Did Harold Ford, Jr. actually attend the church he uses as a backdrop for his commercial? He grew up in Washington, DC, went to college and law school out of state and only moved to Memphis to run for Congress. So when did he ever regularly attend church in Memphis? Will the mainstream media give him a pass on using religion in his campaign? They certainly don't let Republicans do this sort of thing without criticism. CLICK HERE.

FORMER TEXAS GOVERNOR ANN RICHARDS DIES.
September 14, 2006 - 08:34

The silver tounged and silver haired former Governor of Texas who was a verbal thorn in the side of the Bush family has died at 73 from cancer. I had the chance to work with Governor Richards during the early 90s and became a big fan of her attitude and personality. She was one of those larger than life personalities that we sometimes have the privilege to get to know on a personal level. I am certainly glad I had that opportunity. CLICK HERE.

AS MCCAIN AND OTHERS TRY TO STOP TRIBUNALS FOR TERRORISTS...
September 14, 2006 - 10:51

...maybe they should first get a grip on reality. The terrorists at GTMO are NOT entitled to Geneva Convention protections based on the specific wording of the Geneva Convention documents themselves. The Wall Street Journal provides a pretty good primer on the issue. CLICK HERE.

NEW INTERRORGATION RULES FOR THE MILITARY WILL LEAD TO ANOTHER 9-11.
September 14, 2006 - 11:00

At some point in the not too distant future another major terror attack will likely be launched against America. Thousands of our citizens will be killed; tens of thousands will suffer serious injuries. In the aftermath of that attack, when members of Congress try to point fingers of blame in order to advance their personal ambitions, there will be hearings and investigations. We are likely to find out that prior to the attack we actually had some of the planners of the horrific event in our custody, perhaps even at Guantanamo Bay. We will learn that despite the fact that the terrorists we were holding were aware of what was coming, they did not tell us because they did not have to. Nor were they put through tough interrogation sessions that might have led them to spill the beans. Americans will die, by the thousands, because we are simply too soft on terrorists that we capture around the world.

When this happens, just remember that I told you it would happen and that the blame belongs to those who, at this critical juncture in history, chose to be weak-kneed in the face of evil. Republican Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham will belong at the top of that list. CLICK HERE.

NOW THE PRO-CHOICE CROWD SEEMS TO BE MOVING OUT OF THE WOMB.
September 14, 2006 - 08:38
It has long been a tragedy that we allow so many unborn babies to be killed in this country, even up to the moment of birth. But the pro-abortion crowd is apparently not satisfied with killing UNBORN babies, now they want to move their target to include those that have been BORN! I know, some people will say that this guy is just expressing a crackpot idea. But with the Left, today's crackpot idea is tomorrow's policy agenda and next week's platform for the Democrat Party. CLICK HERE.

U.S. MILITARY MEETING AND EXCEEDING RECRUITING GOALS.
September 14, 2006 - 13:10
Despite the gloom and doom reporting from the Mainstream Media the numbers don't lie: the U.S. military is hitting its recruiting and retention goals, even in a time of war. CLICK HERE.

BUSH 41 WANTED DAN QUAYLE OFF THE TICKET.
September 14, 2006 - 08:45
As President George H.W. Bush prepared to run for reelection one of the issues that his team tried to deal with was removing Dan Quayle from the VP spot. Ultimately, Quayle did not voluntarily step aside and no one in the Bush inner-circle wanted to give him a nudge. Depending upon who would have stepped into the Quayle spot (General Colin Powell?) Bush might have won reelection and the Clinton presidency might never have occurred. If they had it to do over again, do you think the Bushies might push Quayle out? CLICK HERE.

POLL: BUSH APPROVAL RATING REBOUNDS TO 47%
September 14, 2006 - 11:12
President Bush has seen a dramatic upswing in his approval ratings in the past week, due primarily to his Republican base coming back into the fold. Let's see, gasoline prices are hitting the lowest point in nearly a half year and headed lower; the federal budget deficit is being reduced ahead of schedule; the stock market continues to be strong; unemployment is lower than during the Clinton "boom"; and the President is moving back toward a 50% approval rating. Yet the Mainstream Media keeps dishing out the "how bad things are" stories by the bucket load. No bias there. CLICK HERE.

DRINKING PAYS OFF.
September 14, 2006 - 13:20

A new research study says that social drinkers earn more money and get more job advancements than those who don't engage in the social lubrication of imbibing. I wonder if the scientists were drinking when they came up with this. CLICK HERE.

Obviously, there are exceptions to this "rule", such as:

HE KIND OF LOOKS LIKE RODNEY DANGERFIELD DOESN'T HE?
September 14, 2006 - 13:16
A Brazilian man wants to be listed in the record books for being able to pop his eyeballs 95% out of their sockets. I think we ought to just let him have this category without anybody trying to hit the 97% mark. CLICK HERE.

SURVIVOR SEGREGATES.
September 14, 2006 - 13:58
Some people are all bent out of shape over the fact that "Survivor" has divided the teams by race this season. But nobody complained when the teams were separated by age and gender, did they? What is the difference? Will we see divisions along religious lines next season? CLICK HERE.

And for those wanting to keep track of those "voted off the island," here is the official site. CLICK HERE.

RNC TAKES TENNESSEE REPUBLICANS TO TASK.
September 14, 2006 - 21:14
The national Republican Party supposedly read the Tennessee Republican Party the riot act earlier this week about the seemingly distracted approach to the November elections that Tennessee Republicans are showing. Here is some analysis of the situation and a breakdown of a couple of ads in the Senate race from News 2 WKRN. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
