DUKE LACROSSE CO-CAPTAIN IS THE LATEST TO BE INDICTED.
May 15, 2006 - 17:18
The prosecutor has, however, cleared the rest of the team by stating that nothing they have found implicates any other player. However, the accuser picked the newest accused from a photo lineup, apparently consisting only of Duke lacrosse players, and is 90% certain. Doesn't that amount to "reasonable doubt", even by the accuser? How can a jury convict these guys unless there is an awful lot of evidence that they are keeping from the public? The DNA revealed no blood, no semen and was not even a match. Plus the DA turned down the player's offer to take a lie detector test. If anybody should be prosecuted here, it should be the hack DA. CLICK HERE.

WHERE DO PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS EDUCATE THEIR OWN CHILDREN?
May 15, 2006 - 17:19
Friday, we talked about whether public school teachers should be required to send their own children to public schools in order to keep their jobs. Here is a link to a recent breakdown of the percentages of public school teachers who send their own children to private schools. Note that Nashville has a huge percentage of public school teachers who avoid the very schools where they teach. CLICK HERE.

Hate speech, including "how-to" information on suicide bombings, is perfectly acceptable in Australia, as long as the hate speech is coming from Muslims. CLICK HERE.

MILLIONS FAIL TO BUCKLE SEAT BELTS.
May 15, 2006 - 17:20
About 48 million people still "roll the dice" when it comes to traveling safely in automobiles. 31,000 people die each year in car crashes, and many of them would survive if they simply used a seat belt. That is ten 9-11 attacks EACH year. Ten Pearl Harbor attacks each year. CLICK HERE.

GATORS ARE CHOWING DOWN IN FLORIDA.
May 15, 2006 - 17:20
At least two people have become snacks for alligators in just the past week as the Florida tourist season kicks off. A few years ago we had the "Summer of the Shark", now it looks like Gators are seeking their time in the media spotlight. CLICK HERE.

FRESH AIR IS A BIG SELLER IN JAPAN.
May 15, 2006 - 17:21
Before you laugh about people buying canned oxygen in Japan, keep in mind that the idea that people would buy bottled water when it was free out of the tap used to seem strange as well. CLICK HERE.

PICKING BETWEEN LOSERS.
May 15, 2006 - 17:21
Aras walked away with the cool million, but this year's "Survivor" ended with the best contestent ever on the outside looking in. Terry dominated the game, with skill AND class. CLICK HERE.

THE NORMAN ROCKWELL CODE.
May 15, 2006 - 17:21
A lot of people are ready to pitch a fit when the "DaVinci Code" hits theaters next week. But one guy has the right take. He has developed a parody of the film, "The Norman Rockwell Code", that will be a webcast. The "hero" is the son of former Mayberry Deputy Barney Fife. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
