IS BREDESEN PREPARING FOR AN INCOME TAX PUSH?
June 15, 2006 - 07:32
Attorney General Paul Summers wants to be on the Tennessee Supreme Court. That would be disastrous for Tennessee taxpayers. Summers is a supporter of a Tennessee Income Tax, and is willing to ignore previous opinions of the Supreme Court to push one through (see opinion below). Any consideration by Governor Bredesen of Paul Summers for the Tennessee Supreme Court will be a clear indication that Bredesen is creating an environment that will result in the eventual passage of a state income tax.
Here is the first sentence of the conclusion in his 1999 Opinion regarding the constitutionality of a state income tax followed by a link to the entire opinion:
"Upon this analysis, it seems clear that the General Assembly does have the power to levy a properly-structured income tax as a privilege tax imposed on income-producing activities and measured by earnings, as a tax on income as a species of intangible personal property, and possibly as a direct and uncategorized tax imposed under the legislature's inherent authority."

Call the Governor today and let him hear your thoughts about putting a pro-income tax lackey on the Tennessee Supreme Court. 615-741-2001.

PC DESCRIPTIONS MAKE IT HARD TO CATCH CROOKS.
June 15, 2006 - 07:32
A stabbing spree in NYC yesterday left four people injured in the Times Square area. There were numerous witnesses, and as they searched for the stabber police issued a description: "a short man dressed in black." Hmmm, notice anything missing? CLICK HERE.
Ultimately they caught the guy. He was a black guy. Don't you think that aspect of the description might have helped narrow things down? CLICK HERE.
IF YOU CAN DRAW IT, WHY CAN'T YOU SAY IT? |

GOOSE POOP TO BLAME FOR LAKE TAHOE POLLUTION.
June 15, 2006 - 07:33
Although Algore will probably blame President Bush, the truth is that pollution in the waters of Lake Tahoe can be traced directly to the large number of geese who use the lake as a porta-pottie. A ten pound goose produces 4 pounds of poop...per day. It adds up quickly. CLICK HERE. |

NOW LIBS WILL SAY BUSH PICKS ON THE BLIND.
June 15, 2006 - 07:33
A White House reporter wearing sunglasses during a press conference was on the receiving end of some questioning by President Bush. The President later learned that the guy was wearing sunglasses, on a cloudy day, because he suffers from an eye disease that makes glare painful. The President called him and apologized. Nevertheless, expect the Left and their lackeys in the Media to have fun portraying Bush as cruel. CLICK HERE.
