BREDESEN ANNOUNCES NEW NO SHRED POLICY. BREDESEN ANNOUNCES NEW NO SHRED POLICY.
July 15, 2005 - 15:06
The Bredesen Administration, embarrassed by new revelations that investigaions into sexual harassment by one of the Governor's commissioners had resulted in investigative notes being shredded, has announced a new "no shred" policy in handling this sort of personnel matters. Other departments were already pursuing a document retention policy that actually retained documents. It was only the Governor's office, and his friends, who received the shredder treatment. Now, that will apparently change. CLICK HERE.

SHREDESEN ADMINISTRATION CRANKS UP THE SHREDDER AGAIN. SHREDESEN ADMINISTRATION CRANKS UP THE SHREDDER AGAIN.
July 15, 2005 - 14:35
Bredesen Administration had to crank up the shredder again as another high ranking official faced sexual harassment charges. The ethics-challenged Bredesen Administration may not worry about public perception of their position (no pun intended) on sexual harassment, but at some point the environmentally conscious among the Democrats will get fed up with the number of trees being sacrificed to cover for this team.  CLICK HERE.

SUNDQUIST APPOINTMENT NOT CLEARED BY WHITE HOUSE. SUNDQUIST APPOINTMENT NOT CLEARED BY WHITE HOUSE.
July 15, 2005 - 14:42
According to White House sources, the appointment of Don Sundquist to head a Medicaid Commission did not get cleared through the White House. Instead, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Michael Levitt, notified the White House of the appointment. Senators Lamar Alexander and Bill Frist were also apparently out of the loop. The question is whether anybody will call for Sundquist to step down?

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
