SHOULD WE CHANGE THE NAME OF THE STATE TO NISSAN?
November 17, 2005 - 07:58
Do you think Nissan would give each of us a free car if we changed the state name to "Nissan"? The folks in Dish, Texas got free cable television for changing their name! Nissan would get BILLIONS of dollars of exposure each year, all in exchange for a couple of million cars. Just think of all the extraneous name benefits, the University of Nissan, Nissan State University, Middle Nissan State University, the Nissan Walking Horse, Nissan Sipping Whiskey, the Nissan Waltz, etc., etc. CLICK HERE.

IS IT WORTH IT?
November 17, 2005 - 05:35
Governor Bredesen says that the $155,000 per job that Tennessee taxpayers are paying to get the Nissan corporat headquarters to relocate from California is a good deal, and that Texas and California would have been happy to write the check if we didn't. CLICK HERE.

WHY WOULD NISSAN EXECS STAY IN CALIFORNIA? WHY WOULD NISSAN EXECS STAY IN CALIFORNIA?
November 17, 2005 - 05:35
When you look at what kind of house you get for $500,000 in California versus what you get in Middle Tennessee, it makes you wonder why ALL the 1300 Nissan employees are not making the move. CLICK HERE.

TALK TOUGH BUT DO NOTHING.
November 17, 2005 - 05:36
The Bush Administration, and Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff, is talking about being much more focused on border security in order to prevent terrorists from entering the country illegally. But the more you look at what the Administration is actually DOING, rather than what they are saying, the more clear it becomes that talk truly is cheap. CLICK HERE.

DOCUMENTS REVEAL TRUTH ABOUT WMD IN IRAQ.
November 17, 2005 - 05:36
Let's get the information into the public arena as soon as possible. The Truth WILL come out eventually. CLICK HERE.

DOES CONGRESSMAN COOPER NOT KNOW ABOUT MICROWAVE POPCORN?
November 17, 2005 - 05:37
You might (or might not) be amazed at how Members of Congress spend our money for their own personal benefit. My personal favorite is the $623 Tennessee Congressman Jim Cooper spent on a popcorn machine. Now wonder these nitwits fund "bridges to nowhere" in Alaska. CLICK HERE.

THEY ARE SUCH BEASTS IN MASSACHUSETTS. THEY ARE SUCH BEASTS IN MASSACHUSETTS.
November 17, 2005 - 05:38
Keep those dogs and cats on a tight leash if you plan on being in Boston. Some legislators want to weaken the ban on human-animal sex. Certainly the women in Massachusetts don't look THAT bad. CLICK HERE.

GILL VERSUS PHIL?
November 17, 2005 - 08:00
No, it is not a talk radio battle between me and Phil Valentine. The Nashville Scene is looking at a battle between me and Governor Bredesen. The question is whether Tennesseans have had their fill of Phil. CLICK HERE.

WHAT WILL HOLLYWOOD LOOK LIKE IN 2037? WHAT WILL HOLLYWOOD LOOK LIKE IN 2037?

JUST BECAUSE THE MEDIA HAS MOVED ON...
November 17, 2005 - 08:01
...doesn't mean the riots in France are not continuing. Monday night another 215 cars were burned. Thousands of cars and a couple of school buildings have been burned since the riotng began a few weeks ago. The media stopped covering the story about a week ago, but that does not mean the situation has appreciably improved. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
