CHENEY CALLS DURBIN COMMENTS EGREGIOUS.
June 17, 2005 - 16:20
Appearing on Steve Gill Mornings on Friday, Vice President Dick Cheney said that Sen. Dick Durbin's comparison of U.S. troops to "nazis" was "egregious" and "over the top." He also indicated that he thought Democrats were "swallowing hard" to not condemn Durbin. Check out the Archives Section for the complete interview, or tune in Monday at 6 am for a replay. You can find the White House transcript HERE. You can find a copy of the clip at www.billhobbs.com. Michelle Malkin is also blogging on this issue. www.michellemalkin.com. DON SENSING HAS A GREAT HISTORY LESSON FOR DICK DURBIN.
June 17, 2005 - 16:29
Dick Durbin has a remarkable poor grasp of history, as evidenced by his ridiculous comparison of U.S. interrogations at Guantanamo Bay to Nazi death camps, Soviet gulags and Pol Pot's killing fields. CLICK HERE. |

DURBIN IS NOT BACKING OFF.
June 17, 2005 - 16:22
Democrat Senator Dick Durbin compared U.S. treatment of terrorists detained at Gitmo to gulags, Nazi death camps and the killing fields in Cambodia. Ridiculous. But he is sticking to his statement. This man is giving aid and support to the enemies of this country. He is so consumed with political partisanship that he is more interested in seeking political advantage by disinformation and misinformtion than he is in our country winning the war on terror. He would happily see his country lose, in order for his political party to gain a few seats in the Congress. He is a dispicable example of what the Democrat Party has become, and he is not alone. Democrats who love their country and support our troops should condemn him. Their silence speaks loudly. CLICK HERE. |

ARE THE ATTACKS ON OUR SOLDIERS AT GITMO ANTI AMERICAN?
June 17, 2005 - 16:23
Once you know who is leading this effort, it makes it even more clear what is really at work here. The Dems (at least those who are FOR our country) need to distance themselves from these nitwits. CLICK HERE.

FOX POLL SAYS AMERICANS SUPPORT PATRIOT ACT.
June 17, 2005 - 16:23
Congress is woefully out of touch with mainstream America on a host of issues, from failing to deal with illegal immigration to failure to cut our taxes. Now, a new Fox News poll, reveals that they may also be out of sync when it comes to their efforts to roll back provisions of the Patriot Act. The poll also reveals that 10% of America must be absolutely delusional when it comes to the war on terror. The "mistreated" detainees at Gitmo are provided with copies of the Koran. 75% of those polled don't believe Americans would be provided copies of the Bible by Muslim captors if the roles were reversed; but 10% believe that the same folks who desecrate Bibles and prosecute (persecute is probably a better word) Christians worldwide would accord U.S. prisoners religious tolerance. Riiiight. And they don't execute prisoners either. CLICK HERE. |

LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIPS TO GET MORE STUDENTS?
June 17, 2005 - 16:24
That's the headline in the Nashville City Paper this morning. The story reveals that new rules are being implemented by the state to make sure that those who fail to make the grade in college courses have a second chance to keep their lottery scholarships. About half of the lottery scholarship recipients failed to make the academic progress necessary to keep the scholarships last year. We should give MORE money to the truly qualified, and nothing to those who can't cut it. But back to the headline. Isn't it the STUDENTS who get the scholarships, not vice versa? Maybe the headline writer at the City Paper was a lottery scholarship winner. CLICK HERE. |

THIRTY FIVE PERCENT OF US LIKE THE FRENCH.
June 17, 2005 - 16:42
A new poll shows that 35% of Americans "like" the French. A news report of the poll in the Washington Post says "only" 35% of us like them. "ONLY." I think the figure is WAY TOO HIGH! Of course, the poll also shows that 31% of the French have "sympathy" for us. An incredibly low figure considering the fact that they would be answering the survey in GERMAN if it were not for us!
