TENNESSEE ENDS BUDGET YEAR WITH MASSIVE SURPLUS.
August 17, 2005 - 19:52
Tennessee taxpayers were overcharged $260 million by the State last year, according to new year end budget figures. Don't expect a rebate or refund, the Governor and the Legislature have already spent what we over-sent! CLICK HERE.

PROBABLY NOT GOING TO WIN THE CONSUMER FRIENDLY AWARD THIS YEAR.
August 17, 2005 - 19:54
A Chicago woman called and complained to Comcast about her cable service. And called back again. And again. So the company gave her a new name for her billing account. Now she is REALLY unhappy. CLICK HERE.

P DIDDY DECIDES TO DROP THE P.
August 17, 2005 - 19:54
Man, I am sure glad we got that over with. I was really losing sleep over whether to call him "P," "P Diddy," "Sean," "Mr. Combs," or just "Yo, homey!" CLICK HERE.

WASHINGTON POST BAILS ON SEPTEMBER 11 EVENT.
August 17, 2005 - 19:55
The anti-American left wingers who call the shots at the Washington Post have forced the paper to back out of sponsorship of a Support the Troops event tied to the 9-11 anniversary. Once again, the Left (and their media lackeys) shows its true colors. Amazing, supporting our country in a time of war is "too political" for the Left. Some of their objection is the tie between 9-11 and the Iraq war. The Post says their reporters have proved that there was no connection between 9-11 and Iraq. That is completely false. We are in Iraq to prevent the NEXT 9-11, and remembering the last one is a perfect place to start! CLICK HERE.

RUN JOE RUN.
August 17, 2005 - 19:55
Former Congressman and MSNBC talk host Joe Scarborough is being urged to run for the U.S. Senate in Florida. That would lead to a face-off with Katherine Harris, before battling incumbent Sen. Ben Nelson. Joe would be a great candidate; but it is unlikely that he will leave his MSNBC gig at this time. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
