MCCAIN DEFENDS BRIEF ROLE IN CONTROVERSIAL MOVIE.
July 19, 2005 - 14:36
Senator John McCain is defending his brief appearance in the hit movie "Wedding Crashers". Some have criticized him for appearing in the movie, which focuses on sexual antics by two wedding crashers, because of the bare female breasts shown during the film. McCain explained to Jay Leno that he works with "boobs in Washington every day." I don't normally defend Senator McCain, but he did not actually appear in any scene that included bare breasts. Maybe he should have negotiated better.  CLICK HERE.

July 19, 2005 - 14:37
A group of British teachers want to substitute the term "deferred success" instead of "fail" for students who fail, um, I mean fall short of expected academic progress. Presumably the term could still apply to teachers who fail, or fall short of expected progress, in educating their students. CLICK HERE.

Remember all those Hollywood celebrities who promised to move out of the country if George W. Bush was re-elected? They are still here. But one liberal atheist has decided to move from Florida to France in protest of the re-election of President Bush. Hopefully, more will follow her. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
