POLL SUPERVISOR IN MEMPHIS WORKED FOR FORD FUNERAL HOME.
February 1, 2006 - 09:43
The infamous polling precinct in Memphis that is at the center of the disputed election of Ophelia Ford to replace her indicted brother John Ford is back in the news. At least 10 votes in that election, won by Ophelia Ford by 13 votes, were clearly illegal. At least two votes were cast by "dead" voters and approved with the initials of a poll worker who was not present at the polls that day at the North Memphis precinct. Now it turns out that the poll supervisor in charge of that polling place was a convicted felon, thereby ineligible to vote or work in that capacity, who also worked for the FORD FUNERAL HOME! A federal judge with close ties to the Ford family is expected to rule today on whether she thinks the epidemic fraud and illegal behavior surrounding that election justifies the State Senate in voiding the election. Perhaps there is a glimmer of hope for a fair ruling from this judge, since she apparently does not actually work at the Ford Funeral Home herself. CLICK HERE. |

NATALINE MAINES RIPS COUNTRY MUSIC FANS.
February 1, 2006 - 09:43
Her pop music career is going so well that Dixie Chick Natalie Maines has decided to pop off about her former fans, saying the stereotype of country music fans being "redneck hicks" is "true." I guess fat, ugly chicks can make it in the pop music industry, a lot of names come to mind....uhm, Mama Cass??? CLICK HERE. |

TENNESSEE'S BEST AND BRIGHTEST?
February 1, 2006 - 09:44
UT- MARTIN students may know a lot about something, but they apparently don't know anything about politics. A recent campus survey revealed that over 90% cannot name both of Tennessee's U.S. Senators. Confidence is not a problem however, as 19 percent of the students claim to be politically active and, presumably, astute. I doubt that the results at UT-Knoxville, TSU, Austin Peay, MTSU or University of Memphis would be any better. CLICK HERE. |

DID HAROLD FORD, JR. GO TO MARTIN?
February 1, 2006 - 09:44
In his critique of President Bush's State of the Union Address Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. notes that the "national debt is nearly $8.2 billion." Really? Actually, it is $8.2 TRILLION. That is a lot more than a billion. Maybe Harold needs to run for the STATE Senate where the numbers aren't too big for him to understand. Interestingly, the Tennessean cleaned up his press release for him, reporting his concern over the "$8.2 TRILLION" debt rather than the BILLION figure used in his press release. Must be nice to have friends in the unbiased mainstream media to cover up your mistakes. CLICK HERE. |

SKI RAGE GETS MAN A VISIT TO JAIL.
February 1, 2006 - 09:44
Even before I read the details I just knew that the 16 year old who was assaulted by a 52 year old man in Steamboat, Colorado was a snowboarder. There is no excuse for the guy beating on the 'boarder's head, but when an out of control 'boarder runs down your 7 year old it is a rage-provoking event. Perhaps the ski patrol should do a better job of jerking the jerks off the slopes when they see them 'boarding out of control. CLICK HERE. |

BROWNBACK CRITICIZED FOR QUOTING THE BIBLE?
February 1, 2006 - 09:45
Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback quoted Matthew 7:16-20, "you shall know them by their fruits," in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine while discussing same-sex marriage. The writer accused Brownback of using a "slur", calling gays "fruits", and got the Left-wing gay rights crowd in an uproar. Might have been easier if the writer had simply looked up the Biblical passage that Brownback quoted, and referenced specifically, to understand that he was referring to false prophets who say one thing but by action reveal the truth:
"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore, by their fruits you shall know them." - Matthew 7:16-20.
Is anybody really surprised that the folks at Rolling Stone are totally unfamiliar with the Bible??? CLICK HERE. |
