MIERS NOMINATION HOLDS KEY TO BUSH FUTURE?
October 20, 2005 - 14:27
The Bush team is trying a new argument with conservative Republicans as they seek to secure the confirmation of Harriet Miers: it is necessary to confirm her in order to save the Bush presidency. Interesting tactic. Bush is so weak he has to resort to the sympathy and survival card in order to solicit support for a weak Supreme Court nominee. But if conservatives "save" the Bush presidency, what do we get? Tough new efforts to end the flood of illegal aliens into the country? Don't count on it. New efforts to stop the flood of red ink and Liberal-like spending in Washington? Don't count on it. Real conservatives being appointed to the federal court spots that open up over the next three years? Surely you jest. Exactly what does come from "saving" the Bush presidency? CLICK HERE. |

MIERS LAYS OUT THE CASE AGAINST MIERS.
October 20, 2005 - 14:28
If you had asked me last week, I would have put the odds of Miers being confirmed at about 70-20 in favor. Today, I would put the odds at 49-51, and I am not sure she will actually make it to the hearings before she withdraws. Malkin lays out the details of the lightweight record of this nominee. October 20, 2005 - 14:29
State Rep. Kim McMillan, a Democrat from Clarksville and one of Jimmy Naifeh's closest associates, is using a loophole in the law that she helped craft to represent clients before agencies she oversees. Former State Senator John Ford and others are facing criminal charges for doing what Kim McMillan is doing. CLICK HERE. |

SOME PLAYERS SAY NEW DRESS CODE IS RACIST.
October 20, 2005 - 14:30
Dressing like a thug gangbanger is apparently a part of "black culture," according to several NBA players who claim a new requirement for players to dress professionally is "anti-black." Well that certainly explains why Condi Rice wears a do-rag as she goes about her duties as Secretary of State and why General Colin Powell always had his pants riding down below his butt crack. In my view, Michael Jordan is the best player ever in the NBA. HE didn't dress like a gangbanger. CLICK HERE. |

HOW SOON CAN I GET ONE?
October 20, 2005 - 14:30
The Navy has developed a drone speedboat, with remote controlled machine guns, with a range of about 12 miles. If they add a grenade launcher they can market it as the ultimate bass boat. CLICK HERE. |

WELDON SAYS DOD INVOLVED IN COVERUP.
October 20, 2005 - 14:30
What did they know and when did they know it? Weldon says the DOD knew a lot about Mohammed Atta BEFORE 9-11 and did not spread the word. Now they are attacking American heroes in what looks like an effort to cover their collective rear ends. CLICK HERE. |

DO NOT DRINK AND DIVE.
October 20, 2005 - 14:31
About a third of the people attacked by crocs in Australia had been drinking before the attack. Now, either crocs are attracted to the smell of alcohol or people who drink tend to be a bit less careful when in croc territory. Could be a bit of both, I guess. Maybe gourmet crocs just like their dinners marinated. CLICK HERE. |

TOLEDO THUGFEST.
October 20, 2005 - 14:31
Wasn't it amazing how quickly the mainstream media moved past the story of a "race riot" in Toledo once it became clear that the rioters were not the skin-head white supremecist nazis but the black street thugs in the neighborhood. Suddenly, the story wasn't a story. CLICK HERE. |
