MCCAIN FINALLY GETS A WIN IN SOUTH CAROLINA.
January 20, 2008 - 10:00
Is the Republican nomination now John McCain's to lose? As the campaign for the GOP nod turns to Florida, it is now a three and a half man race: McCain, Huckabee, and Romney with Rudy holding on for dear life. A loss in Florida ends Rudy's bid. Huckabee probably needs at least a strong second to hang on, even thought it is a winner take all race in Florida where second place gets you zero delegates. CLICK HERE.
Florida looks to be a four way tie among those four. If Fred Thompson pulls out of the race, as expected, his 11% could make the difference for somebody. CLICK HERE.

IS THOMPSON DONE?
January 20, 2008 - 10:11
A third place finish in South Carolina, narrowly ahead of Romney and way behind both John McCain and Mike Huckabee, is almost certainly not enough to keep Fred Thompson in the presidential race. He did not exit Saturday night, but by Tuesday the Thompson campaign will probably be over and Tennessee will suddenly be in play on Super Tuesday! CLICK HERE. Thompson pulled a silver medal in Wyoming, and got bronze medals in Iowa and South Carolina. But bronze medals don't get your face on a Wheaties box.
