The tough economy is making it hard for women like Angelica Hernandez and her mother Gloria Nunez to make it. They are even struggling to buy food, according to NPR. Not to be mean, but I am just a bit skeptical about that part about them having a hard time getting enough to eat. It is sure a good thing that most NPR folks will just LISTEN to the story rather than look at the picture of the women that are a focal point of the story. CLICK HERE. I think the bigger question is why any company would spend this kind of money influencing a member of the MINORITY party in Congress, not to mention just one vote out of 435. CLICK HERE. BIG THUMBS UP FOR THE DARK KNIGHT!!!

Patrick and I slipped into a theater and caught the new Batman flick on Friday. It is spectacular! As many reviews have noted, it is dark and dangerous...just like Batman. Heath Ledger completely owns the Joker!! Sorry Jack Nicholson. (But Jack still has the edge on Cesar Romero when it comes to playing the Joker.)

Do not take young children to this movie, because it is pretty tough in some spots. Oh, and Christian Bale also owns the Batman role as he is, by far, the best Batman actor ever.
