CAL SCHOOL MAY SHED JEFFERSON NAME.
June 22, 2005 - 18:31
He owned slaves, you know. That is the basis for wanting to strike his name from a Berkely, California elementary school. (Shock: Berkely!!) The new name proposed for the school is Sequoia Elementary. Do you think they have realized that under the leadership of Chief Sequoia the Cherokee Indians owned over 1,500 slaves themselves? Or that the name also refers to a Toyota SUV -- a GAS GUZZLING SUV! Maybe they should name the school after the Prius hybird? Or Osama Bin Laden? They LOVE him in Berkley. CLICK HERE. |
