WHAT DID DICK CHENEY ACTUALLY SAY?
August 22, 2005 - 09:46
Late during Monday's show one of our callers, Gary, claimed that the Bush Administration, and specifically Vice President Dick Cheney, directly tied Sadaam Hussein to responsibility for the attacks of September 11 and used that as justification for going to war in Iraq. Here is the MSNBC transcript of what Cheney actually said. CLICK HERE.
In the State of the Union address where the President laid out his case for war in Iraq, he NEVER blamed Iraq for the attacks of September 11 but made it clear that he was going to do everything in his power to prevent the NEXT 9-11. Iraq and Al Queda may not have collaborated on 9-11, but there were plenty of connections that contributed to concerns that they might collaborate on the next terror attack against America. CLICK HERE.
And concerning what the 9-11 Commission did and DID NOT say about the Iraq-Al Queda connection, here is a great piece by Stephen Hayes that lays out the connections that should be more fully explored, particularly in the wake of recent information indicating that Mohammed Atta was seen as a potential terrorist with designs on the U.S. as early as 1996. CLICK HERE.
Finally, all the debate over "connections" ignores a 1998 INDICTMENT issued by the CLINTON JUSTICE DEPARTMENT against OSAMA BIN LADEN that specifically alleges a collaborative relationship between Al Queda and Iraq. Paragraph 4 of that indictment reads: "In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq." The 9-11 Commission not only ignored that indictment, but failed to explore the facts that led to its issuance. Maybe they didn't want to know what the Clinton Administration knew several years BEFORE 9-11? CLICK HERE. |

A MOM WORTHY OF MEDIA ATTENTION.
August 22, 2005 - 09:48
Natalie Healy lost her son, just like the "Dimwit in the Ditch." But unlike the Moveon.org financed peacenik, she supports our country, our troops and our President. Not surprisingly, she is attracting no attention from the mainstream media...doesn't fit their anti-Bush, "we are losing the war" agenda. CLICK HERE. |

CLINTON LEGACY COMING HOME TO ROOST.
August 22, 2005 - 09:49
Former President Bill Clinton acknowledged that the U.S. could have taken Bin Laden into custody before 9-11 but chose not to do so. Then he denied he said that. Then when tapes revealed that he did indeed say that, he simply ignored the evidence, as did the 9-11 Commission. Now, State Department documents reveal that there were discussions between Clinton Administration officials and the Taliban in 1998 about what to do with Bin Laden, who was in Afghanistan at that time. Meanwhile, a nutcase mom in Texas gets more media coverage than this HUGE story. CLICK HERE. |

ANTI TERROR MARCH BY MUSLIMS CANCELLED FOR LACK OF INTEREST.
August 22, 2005 - 09:50
A few months ago a Million Muslim March was announced in order to show the world that Muslims condemn rather than support terrorism. It has now been cancelled due to the inability to generate enough support for the event. Apparently, Muslims are not against terror as much as planners of the march had hoped. The Half Dozen Muslim March Against Terror just didn't have the public relations oomph that organizers were shooting for. CLICK HERE. |
