SUPREMES SAY WHAT IS YOURS IS OURS.
June 23, 2005 - 10:35

In a close 5-4 ruling the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld the taking of private homes and businesses by a city that is turning the property over to private developers. This is a serious assault on the concept of property rights that our Founders were adamant about defending. Will our current leaders step up to protect what we own? CLICK HERE.

BERKELEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MAY DUMP THOMAS JEFFERSON.
June 23, 2005 - 09:33
He owned slaves, you know. That is the basis for wanting to strike his name from a Berkely, California elementary school. (Shock: Berkely!!) The new name proposed for the school is Sequoia Elementary. Do you think they have realized that under the leadership of Chief Sequoia the Cherokee Indians owned over 1,500 slaves themselves? Or that the name also refers to a Toyota SUV -- a GAS GUZZLING SUV! Maybe they should name the school after the Prius hybird? Or Osama Bin Laden? They LOVE him in Berkley. CLICK HERE.

UPDATE: SCHOOL NAME TO REMAIN JEFFERSON FOR NOW.
June 23, 2005 - 09:33
Thanks to some national attention, the School Board decided last night NOT to change the elementary school name...for now. They will try again, when they feel like nobody is watching. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
