TENNESSEE STATE SENATOR INDICTED.
August 23, 2006 - 07:02

Democrat State Senator Jerry Cooper becomes the latest Tennessee lawmaker to face criminal charges. Lt. Governor John Wilder may be the next one indicted on charges stemming from a real estate and banking deal that has already led to a couple of convictions. CLICK HERE.

Cooper is the FIFTH current or former Democrat State Senator indicted on corruption charges in the past 15 months. Where is all that talk about the "culture of corruption" that the Democrats were spewing just a few months ago when they claimed that Republicans in Washington were embroiled in scandal? CLICK HERE.

UPDATE: Cooper says he didn't do it. What did you expect, a confession? CLICK HERE.

BREDESEN GOES TO MAYO CLINIC.
August 23, 2006 - 07:06

The Governor's staff continues to claim that Phil Bredesen is suffering from medical problems related to a "tick bite." But after a week of hospitalization, the Governor has checked into the Mayo Clinic for further tests. Suspicions are increasing that there is something more serious here than Tennessee voters are being told. The Governor needs to release his medical records and allow his doctors to talk, otherwise it will be clear he is covering something up. With an 84 year old Lt. Governor who is physically and mentally incapable of assuming the duties of Governor waiting in the wings, Tennessee voters deserve the truth. CLICK HERE.

A "tick bite" away from the Governor's office...

IS WILDER A TENNESSEE VERSION OF "WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S"?

And for those who don't "get" the "Weekend at Bernie's" reference. CLICK HERE.

BREDESEN MAY HAVE VIOLATED THE CONSTITUTION.
August 23, 2006 - 07:14
Governor Phil Bredesen's racial discrimination against two Supreme Court nominees, when he rejected them solely based on their race, may be a violation of the State's Constitution. The Governor says that race was not the sole factor in his decision, but actions speak louder than words. CLICK HERE.

INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR IN ALASKA KNOCKED OFF IN PRIMARY.
August 23, 2006 - 07:28
Republican Governor Frank Murkowski got the boot from Alaskan voters yesterday. Good. Republicans are favored to keep the seat in November, and probably helped their chances by knocking Murkowski off. CLICK HERE.

STUDY SAYS BLACKBERRY DEVICES ARE ADDICTIVE.
August 23, 2006 - 07:30
They actually needed a study to figure this out? There is a reason they call them "crackberries". CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
