Governor Phil Bredesen is back in Tennessee after spending a couple of days at the Mayo Clinic. Look for more details tomorrow. CLICK HERE.

BREDESEN HEALTH CONCERNS RAISE A LOT OF QUESTIONS.
August 24, 2006 - 09:53
The Tennessee Constitution does not allow for temporary transfer of power from the Governor to the Lt. Governor if the Governor becomes incapacitated. So what does happen? Apparently, his appointed (rather than elected) Deputy Governor Dave Cooley just starts running things his way. CLICK HERE.

BIZARRE WILDER BEHAVIOUR?
August 24, 2006 - 12:18

A.C. Kleinheider at www.volunteervoters.com is questioning whether there is any evidence to back up my assertion that Lt. Governor John Wilder, who is a mere heartbeat away from being Governor of Tennessee, may not be "all there" when it comes to his own physical and mental health. I will dig up some evidence, but here is just a first shot.

McCAIN LIES ABOUT "DAY AT THE BEACH" PREDICTION BY BUSH.
August 24, 2006 - 11:41

Earlier this week, Senator John McCain criticized President Bush for supposedly predicting that the war in Iraq would be a "day at the beach." McCain has not produced any quote from the President, the Vice President, the Secretary of Defense of the Secretary of State to support this ridiculous assertion. However, there is plenty of transcript evidence that the President made it clear in 2003 that the effort in Iraq would be difficult and far from easy.

March 19 Presidential speech:

*     The bombings were the "opening stages of what will be a broad and concerted campaign."
*     The conflict "could be longer and more difficult than some predicted," Bush explained, due to the harsh terrain and unpredictable fighting methods of the enemy.
*     "Helping Iraqis achieve a united, stable and free country will require our sustained commitment."

March 22 Presidential radio address:

*     Bush repeated his belief that "a campaign on harsh terrain in a vast country could be longer and more difficult than some have predicted."

March 23 Presidential press conference:

*     War is "going to take a while to achieve our objective,"

*     "We're slowly, but surely, achieving our objective"

*     "It's important for the American people to realize that this war has just begun, that ... we're just in the beginning phases."

May 1, 2003 (President Bush made his now infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech):

*     "We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We're bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous."
*     "The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth the effort."
*     "Our coalition will stay until our work is done."

The bottom line is that media darling John McCain cannot be trusted to tell the truth, much less lead this country.

MEDIA FRAUD REVEALED!
August 24, 2006 - 11:49
Do you remember the stories a few weeks ago about the Israeli military targeting Red Cross ambulances in the Lebanon area? The pictures were widely distributed around the world to show how vile and dispicable the evil Israelis really were. One problem. The story was completely untrue!! Here is the truth. Don't expect the Mainstream Media to set the record straight. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
