DOCS POINT TO FORD IN TENNCARE SCHEME
February 25, 2005 - 08:31
Newly released documents reveal that a company doing business with TennCare made a deal to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to a partner of Sen. John Ford to get more TennCare business. This thing stinks to high heaven, and it is long past time for the federal investigators to start digging. We clearly cannot trust state officials to get to the bottom of this slimey story. Is this a great country, or what? CLICK HERE. |

COURT SAYS MAN CAN SUE FOR SURPRISE PREGNANCY
February 25, 2005 - 08:34
Weird story, that has interesting implications beyond the facts of this case. Woman saved sperm obtained during a Lewinsky moment and later used it to impregnate herself. Court says she didn't "steal" it since it was a "gift," but that it was not used for the reasonable and forseeable purpose in that instance. In other words, pregnancy was not a reasonable result from the act, and the deceit by the woman, if proven, could entitle the man to recovery of economic damages. Just another reminder that some people are really weird. Pick your partners carefully. CLICK HERE. |
