Former NBA player Paul Shirley says he is not donating a cent to Haiti. Apparently, he thinks the Haitian people "deserved" what happened to them. CLICK HERE. People who engage in unsafe, unprotected sex may deserve the results that flow from their behavior, whether it is pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease. There is a cause and effect relationship between the behavior and the likely consequences. People who smoke several packs of cigarettes a day may deserve lung cancer, as sad and tragic as it may be, due to their own decision-making. But when the earth shakes out of control beneath your feet and buildings topple over on top of you I am not sure how the Haitian people trapped in the rubble are "responsible" and "deserving" of their fate. But that's just me.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears is donating a dress to the Haitian relief efforts. CLICK HERE. HOW WILL A THREE YEAR FREEZE SAVE MONEY OVER A DECADE?!?!?

The Obama Administration is now pushing a "freeze" in some government spending for the next three years. It will "save" about $15 billion next year...maybe. So over three years we would save $45 billion, right? So why are they claiming $250 billion in savings over ten years for a program that will most certainly end in three...if they even do it in the first place?!?!?! CLICK HERE. Even WITH this plan they will increase our debt by $9 TRILLION over the same period! |
