DID FRIST LIE TO KEEP HIS MEDICAL LICENSE?
August 29, 2006 - 20:55
Senator Bill Frist acknowledged that he may not have met all the requirements needed to keep his medical license active - even though he provided documents to state medical officials indicating that he had completed his continuing education requirements. The problem for Frist lies NOT in failing to complete the continuing education requirements in time, since there is most likely an opportunity to "cure" any shortfall and retain his medical license. The problem is if he signed a statement representing that he had completed all the required courses when he had not in fact done so. Stay tuned, this story is not over. CLICK HERE. |

CNN GIRLTALK AIRS DURING PRESIDENTIAL SPEECH.
August 29, 2006 - 20:43
CNN news anchor Kyra Phillips proved that she is nothing more than a pretty news reader as she chatted with a girlfriend about finding a "good man" during a live broadcast of a Presidential speech. Her mic was inadvertantly left on (or was somebody at CNN trying to do her some career harm?) and aired her chit-chat over the President's comments. She was obviously paying absolutely no attention to what the President was saying, but I am sure she would have read whatever critical analysis someone else put on her teleprompter without delay or a conscious thought. KATIE COURIC GETS PHOTOSHOP DIET.
August 29, 2006 - 21:03
The folks at CBS apparently thought their new anchor Katie Couric was a bit too hefty, so they trimmed her down with photoshop. Now that is MY kind of diet! Eat all you want, let the PR department fake it for you. It really makes sense actually. With Dan Rather they faked the news for years; now they are even faking the looks of the anchors who fake the news. Maybe we can do an Elvis-type poll for Katie. Do you prefer Chunky Katie or Skinny Katie? CLICK HERE.

STATE SENATOR BOWERS RESIGNS, WILL LIKELY PLEAD GUILTY.
August 29, 2006 - 07:38
The Tennessee Waltz scandal has claimed yet another victim of the way business is done on Capitol Hill: Democrat State Senator Kathryn Bowers. Although she claims she is resigning from her seat and withdrawing her name from the ballot in November for "health reasons" nobody is buying that. And why should the Democrats be able to replace her on the ballot at this late date? Aren't they opposing the exact same thing with Tom Delay in Texas, claiming that he cannot take his name off the ballot and let the Republicans replace him? CLICK HERE.

Governor Phil Bredesen finally emerged from the shroud of secrecy surrounding him and his mystery illness and says he is now fine. Still no definitive word on what caused his illness, nor a decent answer for why his staff was so deceitful in handling the matter. CLICK HERE.

August 29, 2006 - 11:52
Yeah, this story does make me feel old. I never had one hanging in my room, but I did see plenty of them hanging up in the dorms and frat houses at UT. Ahh, the days of big hair and...big...posters. CLICK HERE.
