HAYNESWORTH SUSPENDED FOR FIVE GAMES.
October 2, 2006 - 17:46

Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth received a 5 game suspension from the NFL for his outrageous conduct during the Titans-Cowboys game at LP Field. Coach Jeff Fisher says that will do. And the Nashville Police Department says the player who was the victim of the assault has indicated that he does not want to press charges. Hopefully, Albert will put his off time to good use, like getting a better grip on his emotions. CLICK HERE.

WILL HAYNESWORTH STOMP LEAD TO CRIMINAL CHARGES?
October 2, 2006 - 07:18

Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth could face a fine, a suspension, or both due to his unsportsmanlike conduct during Tennessee's game with the Dallas Cowboys. Haynesworth stomped on the head of a Cowboys player who had lost his helmet during a play. Haynesworth was assessed a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and then ejected from the game when he threw his own helmet on the field in anger. But should he also face criminal charges for the brutal and senseless attack on the Cowboys' player? Viciously assaluting a person in front of 60,000+ witnesses is stupid...at best. Will Metro Nashville District Attorney Torre Johnson seek to prosecute him? Should he? CLICK HERE.

MASON DIXON POLL SHOWS SENATE RACE A DEAD HEAT!
October 2, 2006 - 07:13
The Tennessee race for the U.S. Senate is hotter than ever, and it couldn't be tighter according to a new Mason Dixon poll. Ford definitely has a swagger in his step and exudes confidence. Corker looks tight. In business, sports, and certainly in politics, attitude tells a lot. You really cannot fake confidence, and Ford seems to have more of it right now than Corker. Things can change, and the final five weeks of a campaign are a lifetime. But Corker better make some significant strategic moves quickly, or he will be on the outside looking in come November 8. CLICK HERE.

The detailed poll information reveals some interesting things. Corker has a big lead among men, but the results are almost exactly reversed among women. Ford enjoys support from 88% of Democrats respondents; Corker only gets support from 76% of Republican respondents. If Corker were getting the same level of support from Republicans as Ford is getting from Democrats he would have a comfortable lead. Most of those undecided Republicans are likely to "come home" at the end of the day, so Corker is in better shape than the poll indicates. However, the poll also "over-polls" Republicans, so Ford also has reason to think his numbers may be slightly better than the final poll numbers indicate. Bottom line? The race is close and either candidate can still win or lose this thing. CLICK HERE.

MASON DIXON POLL ALSO SHOWS BUSH NUMBERS LAGGING IN TENNESSEE.

Unless or until President Bush finds a way to bring the Republican base back to his side, he will not be helpful to Republican candidates across the country. CLICK HERE.

RULE ON FOR SCANDALIZED POLITICIANS: HEAD TO REHAB

Disgraced and now former Congressman Mark Foley is supposedly headed to rehab, claiming that he has a problem with alcohol. I think his bigger problem is wanting to get busy with little boys. CLICK HERE.

FORD CAMPAIGNS AT TITANS GAME.

Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. had a better day at the Titans stadium than the Tennessee Titans did, even though the Titans security staff tried to kick him out. CLICK HERE.

GRAB SOME DONUTS FROM DUNKIN DONUTS TUESDAY MORNING!!
October 2, 2006 - 17:51
Be sure to buy a couple of dozen donuts from Dunkin Donuts Tuesday morning and take them to your workplace. Why? This week the company started getting tough on hiring illegals and will no longer hire people who cannot certify their legal status in this country. Back them up by buying their stuff!!! October 2, 2006 - 18:14
A man entered a one room Amish schoolhouse bent on death. When he was done, three kids were dead and 8 wounded. The man killed himself as well. A very sad reminder that this sort of thing really can happen anywhere. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
