THEME PARK CALLS OFF "MUSLIM FUN DAY."
August 2, 2006 - 17:50
It is stories like this that make it really, really hard to be off air. Britain's largest theme park had planned a "Muslim Fun Day," devoted to attracting hordes of fun-loving Muslims. But there wasn't much interest among the British Muslim community to ride rollercoasters, eat cotton candy, and play carnival games. I guess they just define "fun" in a different way. CLICK HERE.

SENATORS COMPLAIN ABOUT TOO MUCH CONTACT WITH THE UNWASHED MASSES.
August 2, 2006 - 17:53
When they are running for office, U.S. Senators love those photos of them glad-handing with "real people." Unfortunately, we are apparently only useful as photo ops. Once they get elected, they get miffed if us unwashed and unwanted taxpayers dare to use their PRIVATE elevators. You know, the ones WE pay for. If this story doesn't make you mad, read it again. CLICK HERE.

ROMNEY AND FRIST SCHEDULED TO VISIT WILLIAMSON COUNTY FRIDAY NIGHT.
August 2, 2006 - 17:59
Senator Bill Frist and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney are likely to spend a lot of time together over the next few years, but most of that time will be in Iowa and New Hampshire rather than Franklin, Tennessee. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
