MEIRS MADE ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR DONATION TO GORE CAMPAIGN IN 1988. MEIRS MADE ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR DONATION TO GORE CAMPAIGN IN 1988.
October 3, 2005 - 08:08

President Bush has named his pick to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Conner, and she is unlikely to be a conservative addition to the court...if she makes it through the confirmation process. Unfortunately, it appears the President has picked someone he thinks the Left will accept rather than someone who could be a conservative leader on the Supreme Court. She is certainly no Scalia, Roberts or Thomas. Weak, Mr. President, very weak. If "she" were a "he," with the credentials Miers has, there is no way she would have been picked. CLICK HERE.

UPDATE: Harriet Miers donated $1000 to the Algore for President campaign in 1988. She also donated $1000 to the DNC Services Corporation/Democrat National Committee in 1988. Looks like David Souter in drag to me. CLICK HERE TO SEE HER POLITICAL DONATIONS.

MIERS RAISING CONCERNS FROM CONSERVATIVES, SUPPORT FROM THE LEFT.
October 3, 2005 - 10:43
The more I find out about Harriet Miers, the more concerned I get. The President blew this one. CLICK HERE.

Here is another good analysis that sums it up: DISAPPOINTMENT. Some are defending the appointment of Meirs by pointing out that she is better than we would have gotten from a President Kerry. Is that the best we can do? Is that really an appropriate standard? CLICK HERE.

FUNNIEST ANALYSIS OF THE MIERS APPOINTMENT SO FAR.
October 3, 2005 - 10:44
"Former FEMA head Mike Brown would have been a better pick than Miers, at least he had some judging experience. Granted, it was horse shows..."

PER GALLON COMPARISON MAKES GASOLINE LOOK CHEAP.
October 3, 2005 - 08:08
Think a gallon of gas is expensive? This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective. *

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ....... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 .......$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ........ $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ........ $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ........ . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99............. $84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source. (Evian spelled Backwards is Naive.) *

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, Whiteout, Pepto Bismol or Nyquil.

PARIS SQUARED DOES NOT ADD UP.

TWENTY PERCENT OF CALIFORNIA SENIORS FLUNK GRADUATION EXAM.
October 3, 2005 - 08:10
How could this be? California is one of those states that taxes its citizens in almost every conceivable way and spends more per student than most of the rest of the country. How could they achieve such poor results after spending so much? Do you think that HOW you spend matters more than simply HOW MUCH?? CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
