CADDYSHACK UPDATE?
April 3, 2006 - 07:37
NYC Mayor Bloomberg says that we need to let illegals continue to flood into this country because they take care of our golf courses. Yeah, that will be a really convincing argument for most Americans. Maybe we should just bump up green fees to cover the hundreds of billions of dollars that these "cheap workers" are costing us taxpayers. CLICK HERE. |

HOSTAGE BRUTALIZED BY CRITICS.
April 3, 2006 - 07:37
Jill Carroll was held hostage in Iraq by terrorists for about three months. Now she is having to issue a press release explaining that taped comments she made while in the custody of the terrorists were (surprise!?!?!) coerced. We need MORE journalists willing to take the risk of leaving the cushy hotels in Baghdad to get the real story of the progress being made in Iraq. Attacking those brave reporters who are taken hostage is not the way to encourage others to follow their lead. I wouldn't call her a "hero," but she is certainly not a traitor. CLICK HERE. |

PORT WORKERS DON'T HAVE ID?
April 3, 2006 - 07:38
The flap over allowing a Dubai-based company to take over certain port operations in the U.S. has highlighted the lack of security in our ports overall. Now we learn that the people working in the port operations may not be who they say they are. CLICK HERE. |

INTERESTING WEEK IN TENNESSEE POLITICS.
April 3, 2006 - 08:06
Rep. Kim McMillan (Naifeh's right hand woman) decides not to run for reelection, increasing the likelihood that Republicans get within reach of gaining a majority in the State House within the next two election cycles.
Sen. Jim Bryson decides to run for Governor, opening up a rush of candidates for his seat...and likely a second rush of candidates will emerge for the seat of Rep. Glen Casada after he decides to run for Bryson's Senate seat. Bryson may not be able to raise the money necessary to mount an effective campaign against the $12 million onslaught he will face from Bredesen, but at least it gives Republicans somebody to vote for.
Governor Bredesen announces a new healthcare plan for uninsured Tennesseans that is long on hype and short on details. Leftist media types are fawning over his "courage"...for proposing a plan that is completely unworkable??
Republicans in the State Senate shame themselves by voting with the Democrats to unanimously ban citizens from speaking their mind in proximity to the State Capitol if House Speaker Naifeh and Lt. Governor Wilder don't like what we have to say. Thanks guys, that First Amendment is a pesky thing, particularly when you want to shove an un-Constitutional income tax down the throats of taxpayers. Well, if we can't protest around the Capitol next time, I guess we will just have to take the protests to your front yards and businesses. Why do they want to place their families and clients in the crossfire of politics instead of keeping the protests where they really belong? Pretty stupid, but apparently a few folks in wheelchairs REALLY scare them. The fact that Republicans unanimously went along with this insanity reveals that Democrats don't have the franchise on nitwittery!!
And Democrat Sen. Jerry Cooper decides to plead the Fifth rather than testify in a criminal case that should have already resulted in his indictment as a co-conspirator. Apparently, I can't take a one week vacation without everything falling apart. |

CORKER VOTED IN DEMOCRAT PRIMARIES.
April 3, 2006 - 08:06
Republican Senate Candidate Bob Corker voted in DEMOCRAT primaries a couple of times in the past decade, according to the Tennessean. If this was the only question mark about Corker's conservative credentials it would be ridiculous, but the mounting evidence seems to be speaking louder than the voice of a guy who says he is a "conservative" but lacks any proof to back up his claim. CLICK HERE.
