BLACKBURN UNDER FIRE FROM PRIMARY OPPONENT.

Former State Senator Tom Leatherwood is trying to unseat Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn in the Republican primary. In this article he claims to have been a staunch opponent to the state income tax.
I don't know him. Don't know that I have ever met him. And if he was fighting AGAINST the state income tax during the Sundquist years it is news to me. He was apparently one of those guys hiding in back rooms meeting with the advocates of an income tax trying to find a "middle ground" as I recall. Those were the Republicans that were secretly BACKING the tax, not opposing it. If he can't be honest about that little piece of history, I have a hard time believing anything else he is saying. When he appeared on the show a while back he actually attacked the tax protesters who really did stop the income tax as being "out of control" and essentially unnecessary to the process. If the protesters had not been there, Tennessee would have a state income tax...thanks to guys like Tom Leatherwood. CLICK HERE.
Meanwhile, there was NEVER any question about where Marsha stood on the state income tax, nor any doubt about her willingness to stop it!!
