BUSH SPENDING MONEY FASTER THAN CLINTON DID.
August 3, 2006 - 07:52
During the Clinton years Republicans regularly railed against the "out of control" government spending that he was directing. But it turns out that he is a "conservative" fiscal manager compared to President Bush. One of the reasons that many Republicans may not be excited about voting this fall is the fact that they don't see much difference in what the Bush team is doing versus what the Dems would do. As it turns out, the Dems might be better if they put Bill Clinton back in charge?!?!?!? CLICK HERE.

A VOTE FOR CORKER MAY ELECT FORD.
August 3, 2006 - 08:06
Frank Cagle always has a good sense of what is really going on in the political scene. His analysis of the Senate race is right on the money. If he wins tonight, Bob Corker will have a very difficult time pulling the Bryant and Hilleary supporters together after the $8 million he has spent attacking them. I suspect that his supporters will let their arrogance reveal itself as they move to the fall campaign; after a photo op with Ed and Van on Saturday they and their supporters will not be very involved in the Corker campaign because the Corker folks won't feel like they need them. It is the same arrogance that kept Corker running ads that virtually ever newspaper in the state condemned as being "lies". Lying was bad enough, but continuing to lie after getting caught reveals a level of arrogance that Tennessee voters are unlikely to embrace. That arrogance may be the best think Harold Ford, Jr. has going for him. CLICK HERE.

CONGRESS GOES BACK TO FRENCH FRIES.

DO WE REALLY WANT TO KNOW THIS?
August 3, 2006 - 08:15
The next time you are putting your mouth near the mouthpiece of your cell phone to talk to someone, you might want to know that a toilet seat is actually cleaner than your cell phone. Just something to think about...or NOT think about. CLICK HERE.

SHOULD AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAY THE TAB TO BAILOUT THE BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS?
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
YES, THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT FOR US TO LET IT FAIL.
IT DEPENDS ON THE TERMS OF THE DEAL. WHAT INTEREST RATE WILL THEY PAY FOR THE CASH? WHAT DO WE GET AS COLLATERAL?
LET'S BAILOUT TWO OF THE THREE AND LET ONE FAIL. THEY SHOULD COMPETE TO BE IN THE TOP TWO BY CUTTING COSTS AND WAGES!
YES, BECAUSE WE CAN SAVE THEM JUST LIKE WE SAVED THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC.
NOT SURE.
