One of the primary reasons that President Bush selected Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court is apparently the fact that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid likes her. He says he is "happy" about her selection. He is hoping she is another David Souter. CLICK HERE. |

MIERS MEAGER PAPER TRAIL STARTS TO REVEAL PROBLEMS.

Like what, you might ask? How about support for gay adoptions, for one. Or the fact that she sought support from Gay/Lesbian organizations when she ran for City Council in Dallas, Texas. Or the fact that she either doesn't know about or doesn't care about laws restricting women in combat in the U.S. military. The list goes on. Sure looks like a Souter at this point. CLICK HERE.

Thomas Lifson says the President has learned from his father's failure with Souter and is therefore the last guy who would ever repeat that mistake. Unfortunately, by the time we find out whether "W pulled a daddy", she will be safely beyond any recourse, just like Souter. Perhaps she will suddenly blossom into a brilliant scholar and reveal her true self through her quick witted and intellectually erudite responses to the Senate Judiciary Committee. We'll see. IS MIERS QUALIFIED TO BE ON THE SUPREME COURT?

The minimum qualifications to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court are just that, "minimum." The President appoints judges to the Supreme Court with the advice and consent of the Senate. You don't have to be a judge to be appointed. You don't even have to be a lawyer. You simply have to be appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Simple, right? So, Harriet Miers is "qualified" to serve on the Supreme Court, just like everybody else in the country. But does she really have the qualifications to serve in a lifetime appointment to one of the most powerful positions in the country? CLICK HERE.

Judith Miller went to jail. She got out of jail when ONE OF HER SOURCES in the Valerie Plame investigation, VP Cheney's chief of staff Scooter Libby, again released her to reveal him as ONE of her sources. He had already done so previously, but she chose to go to jail to protect her OTHER sources. Her lawyer has confirmed that she is STILL PROTECTING THEM! So who are these other sources? Why is the media focused on Libby when it is clear that the WHITE HOUSE has given permission for her to speak; it is the NON-WHITE HOUSE sources that she is protecting, and continues to protect with the cooperation of the so-called prosecutor. There is a big story here, but the MSM is covering it up, perhaps because Ambassador Joe Wilson himself outed his wife???? CLICK HERE.
