WHO ELSE KNEW FOLEY WAS CHASING YOUNG BOYS?

It appears that some House Republicans were not the only ones who suspected that Congressman Mark Foley had an inordinate interest in young male pages, several Florida newspapers also had a chance to review the emails that were "questionable." At least one, the Miami Herald, acknowledges that the fact Foley was gay kept them from being too aggressive with the story. If the House Republicans had taken any action against Foley based on the emails (which are not nearly as explicit as the IM "conversations") they would have been acccused of homophobia by the same Democrats who are so anxious for investigations today. By the way, the now infamous IM to the "young boy" turns out to have been communications with an 18 year old. When Bill Clinton had actual sexual relations with a girl only a few years older she was a "consenting adult", not a "girl". Foley's actions, and Clinton's, are dispicable. But the outrage over "just sex" seems to be rather partisan. CLICK HERE.
Oh, and it now appears that the House Republican leadership actually convinced Foley to run again this year after he planned to retire. Good choice guys!! There is no doubt that the Republicans in the House deserve to lose power, the only question is whether the House Democrats deserve to get it. OK, I couldn't really think of a way to deal with this on the air, but the chief Islamic religious leader in Iran has issued a "ruling" that "deliberate masturbation" is not allowed during Ramadan. "Deliberate"?? Is there such a thing as "accidental"?? But I digress; the really interesting thing about this story is the fact that they have such specific rules for all sorts of personal behavior, but have no problem with somebody blowing themselves up and killing innocent men, women and children?!?!?! The media loves to try to link gun rights to hunting (and presumably fishing). The 2d Amendment has nothing to do with hunting (and even less to do with fishing) nor does it have any connection with love for the "great outdoors". I know that the Constitution can be confusing for Libs and the media that loves them, but shouldn't they at least read it? Even a quick glance will tell you that the 2d Amendment does not guarantee hunting rights. CLICK HERE.
Bryson should not have made a bogus claim to being some sort of modern day "Davy Crockett." But why is this story getting bigger play in the Knoxville newspaper than the oft-covered up scandals that have plagued Bredesen's Administration? |

The media interest in this story is interesting. Will they hold Harold Ford, Jr. to the same technical nitpicking with his spots? For example, had he ever actually dined in that diner (the one featuring the UT helmet) before filming the commercial there? Did he pay for lunch that day or did somebody else pick up the tab? Does any of this matter? Probably about as much as the fact that a couple of those in the Corker
