COOKIE GIRLS ORDERED TO PAY 900 DOLLARS TO NEIGHBOR
February 5, 2005 - 07:48
Two Colorado teens found themselves in court after baking cookies for their neighbors. The act of kindness got them sued...successfully. Pure nitwittery. Let these girls know that doing the right thing doesn't always get punished. CLICK HERE.
If you want to send a donation to the girls to help pay off the judgement or a letter of support you can send it to Taylor Ostergaard, 415 County Road 307, Durango, Colorado 81303. Notes to the other girl, Lindsey Jo Zeletti, can be sent to the same address. |

TAYLOR CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE.
February 5, 2005 - 07:53
THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE. When we talked with Taylor and her mother Jill (you can find the interview on the Archives section under Steve Gill Mornings) Jill agreed to share the chocolate chip cookie recipe for the cookies that caused the controversy. As promised, here it is. Distribute the cookies carefully. Maybe you should get a release signed before you give them to someone...
THE COLORADO COOKIE RECIPE
1 cup shortening 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cups sifted flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 pkg chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes (may have to adjust for altitude). Eat hot with a glass of cold milk for best results! |

NY JUDGE RULES GAY MARRIAGE BAN UNCONSTITUTIONAL
February 5, 2005 - 07:57
The main reason that people in Tennessee and across the country are pushing for a constitutional definition of marriage as man and woman is due to the judicial tyranny of judges making laws rather than interpreting them. The latest example comes from NY where a judge says any legislative limitation of marriage to man and woman is unconstitutional. Yeah, our Founding Fathers were all gay and intended that the Constitution protect their future right to marry. Why do we need a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage? Because if we don't do it, the judges will. CLICK HERE. |

WHY ARE DEMOCRATS OPPOSED TO LIBERTY AND FREEDOM?
February 5, 2005 - 07:58
For months now the Democrats have been dragged kicking and screaming toward free elections in Iraq. Now that the Iraqi people have shown themselves to be more supportive of freedom and democracy than the Democrat Party, how should the Dems respond? If the Dems had their way, women in Iraq would be in rape chambers rather than voting booths; Sadaam Hussein would still be in power and funding terrorist acts directed at innocent men, women and children throughout the world; the scandal-ridden U.N. would still be operating a corrupt oil-for food program that was diverting much needed funding to U.N. bureaucrats and French and German companies rather than feeding kids and providing medicine to the sick in Iraq. BROTHER CLAIMS CHARGES AGAINST MARINE DESERTER ARE BECAUSE HE IS MUSLIM
February 5, 2005 - 08:09
The brother of an AWOL marine charged with desertion says Wassef Ali Hassaoun is being singled out because he is Muslim. You remember this guy. He is the one who claimed to have been kidnapped from a marine base and held by terrorists only to turn up on his hometown in Lebanon, miraculously alive and free. Then, the marines let him go home on leave (after charging him with desertion) for the New Year's holiday and he failed to return and has not been heard from since. Yeah, we are only upset with this traitorous marine because he is Muslim. He should have been shot after they found him the first time...for what he did, not for what he is. CLICK HERE. |

AMERICA EMBRACES THE COOKIE GIRLS.
February 5, 2005 - 17:21
They may have started their media blitz with Steve Gill Mornings, but now Good Morning America and Jay Leno are calling. Also, thousands of dollars are rolling into their legal defense fund. The nitwit neighbor has apparently threatened further action against the girls because of the negative publicity she has received. Maybe she should have thought about that before she filed her idiot lawsuit. CLICK HERE. |
