SENATOR JERRY COOPER FACES NEW QUESTIONS.
September 9, 2006 - 07:22
New investigative reporter Trent Seibert, or at least new to News 2 WKRN, opens things up with a blockbuster story about indicted State Senator Jerry Cooper receiving $35,000 in so-called loans from a lobbyist a few years ago. The documents from the lobbyist indicate that the money was a "loan," and it was never repaid. Jerry Cooper never reported the "loan" as required by law. If it wasn't a loan, it was clearly a bribe. Either her broke the law by failing to report the loan, or he broke the law by accepting a bribe. Senator Cooper needs to come clean about which law he broke. Will the other media sources around the state pick up on this, or cover up for him? And late word is that the new Ethics Commission will investigate this when they start work October 1. CLICK HERE.

FORD SAYS CORKER AD IS A LIE.
September 9, 2006 - 07:38
And I have to side with Harold on this one. Congressman Harold Ford Jr. says a new ad being aired by the Corker campaign is a "lie." At issue is whether or not Congressman Ford voted for or against the Patriot Act. Ford voted FOR the original Patriot Act, and he voted for the final bill last March that made the reauthorization of the Act final (and which President Bush signed into law a few days later). He voted against one version of the law earlier that he said did not give the President enough power to combat terrorism. In terms of whether Ford voted for the Act when it mattered, it looks pretty clear that he did, and that Corker is stretching things to claim that Ford has been weak on this issue. The fact that Ford's FIRST vote in the U.S. Senate will be to put the Leftists who have led the fight AGAINST the Patriot Act and defending America would seem like a better, and more truthful, ad to me. THE SENATE RACE WILL DEFINITELY GET NASTY.
September 9, 2006 - 08:20
As I predicted earlier this week on News 2 WKRN, the U.S. Senate race in Tennessee will be brutal. Look for the attack ads to intensify quickly. CLICK HERE.

FORMER CLINTON AIDE SAYS THE CONTROVERSIAL ABC DRAMA IS ACCURATE.
September 9, 2006 - 07:41
The Left is going bonkers over an ABC docu-drama that is supposed to be aired Sunday and Monday night, "The Path to 9-11", that depicts the Clinton Administration as passing up numerous opportunities to get Bin Laden before the terror strike occurred. Now a former military aide to Clinton says the show is accurate on that count. CLICK HERE.

11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO WAS VICTIM OF GANG RAPE HAS HIV.
September 9, 2006 - 07:43
An eleven year old girl who was a victim of a sexual assault by as many as 20 boys has been HIV positive since birth, and her mother died of AIDS. Looks like the boys have something to worry about besides criminal prosecution. Serves them right, don't you think? Now keep in mind that the 11 year old voluntarily performed various sex acts after being encouraged to do so by a 16 year old girl who was there, so she is not an entirely innocent victim. Since ALL the kids were underage, is this a crime when the girl said yes? CLICK HERE.

I DON'T THINK MOST WOMEN WILL BUY THIS EXCUSE.
September 9, 2006 - 08:05
Brad Pitt is saying that he will not wed Angelina Jolie until "everybody in the country can marry." Look for guys being pressured for ring to start using this one. "Honey, I want to marry you but my sense of social justice says we should hold off until gays and lesbians in Alabama can do it too." Yeah, that will work. CLICK HERE.

TERROR ATTACKS IN ISRAEL CARRIED OUT BY THOSE RELEASED EARLIER.
September 9, 2006 - 07:49
In recent years Israel has regularly released Arab prisoners as an act of "good will" in order to promote peace in the region. Now a new report indicates that at least 14 major terror attacks directed at Israeli civilians have been carried out by those released previously. The same thing is true of many of those that have been released by the U.S. from the terrorist detention center at GTMO; they have shown up again on the battlefield waging war against the U.S. and our allies.
