METRO TEACHER PAY.
June 30, 2005 - 09:59
We talked a bit yesterday about the metro teacher salary schedule, and a teacher forwarded a link to the actual numbers. The actual "cost" of a teacher to taxpayers is pretty close to the $60,000 plus average I was estimating when you add in retirement, social security, health care benefits, etc. Plus keep in mind that this is for a 10 month annual work schedule. Teachers easily rank in the top third of income earners in the country. Look at the numbers, compare them to what you earn and how many months a year you work, and decide who you think is underpaid. June 30, 2005 - 10:01
The book that Hillary Clinton does not want you to read is being purchased in record numbers. It has been out less than a week and is already #2 on the New York Times bestseller list. Hillary has done everything she can to keep author Ed Klein off of national television shows to promote the book. Isn't that a news story in and of itself?

WILL HILLARY PROMISE TO SERVE HER WHOLE TERM?
June 30, 2005 - 10:03
Hillary Clinton is seeking reelection to a six-year term as U.S. Senator from New York in 2006. What she is really doing is running for President in 2008. Shouldn't she have to fess up to the voters in New York as to whether she really wants the job she is asking for? CLICK HERE.

TODAY SHOW EMBRACES GAY MARRIAGE.
June 30, 2005 - 10:03
For the past 6 years the "Today" show has conducted a marriage contest. The winning couple have had extensive coverage, and financial assistance, afforded to their wedding. In the past, the rules specified that only a couple composed of a man and woman was eligible. But this year, the rules have changed, and a homosexual marriage could be celebrated by "Today." CLICK HERE.
