British hostages 'freed' |
Three Britons abducted in Gaza on Wednesday have been freed, according to Palestinian security sources. Palestinian Authority officials had been negotiating the release of Kate Burton, a 25-year-old worker for the Palestinian rights group Al Mezan, and her visiting parents.

The Justice Department has opened an investigation regarding the recent leaks concerning the classified National Security Agency surveillance program. The eavesdropping program allows the NSA to intercept domestic communications without a warrant, as long as one party is outside the United States.
