Fourth death in California mudslides |
Rescue crews on Tuesday searched for as many as 27 people who may be trapped in Southern California mudslides that have already claimed four lives. Rescuers are keeping an anxious eye on the surrounding hillsides, with more rain forecast, and geologists warning more slides are possible.

U.N. secures $700m for tsunami aid |
The U.N. says it now has $717 million -- more than 70 percent of the $977 million it requested -- to use immediately for tsunami relief. The U.N.'s emergency relief coordinator added that several countries indicated their private sectors will likely match government donations.
