Al Qaeda's No. 2 man says in a videotape that U.S. President George W. Bush is a "butcher" and a "loser." It is the first glimpse of Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the top aide to Osama bin Laden, since a U.S. missile strike targeted him two weeks ago in Pakistan.

In new footage aired Monday on an Arabic-language news network, an American journalist kidnapped in Iraq urged Americans to demand the release of female prisoners in Iraq. Jill Carroll wore a head scarf and spoke English in the video, which was made on January 28, Al-Jazeera reported.
