WHY THE DEMAND FOR UNTRACEABLE CELL PHONES?

June 24, 2007 - June 30, 2007
Recently there has been an inexplicable rush on untraceable, disposable cell phones by young Muslim men here in the United States. The continued surge in the purchase of these phones -- the kind that can be used and easily discarded to avoid wiretaps; the kind that are used to detonate bombs – deserves a lot more attention.

A few months ago two men were arrested in Ohio and charged with money laundering in support of terrorism. The two men, Osama Sabhi Abdulhassan and Ali Houssaiky, were from Dearborn, Michigan and were found in possession of a dozen untraceable, disposable cell phones, $11,000 in cash. It turned out that the two had purchased over 600 such phones and were on their way through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina to purchase more. They initially lied to police about their activities, but later admitted they were selling them to someone in Dearborn who was sending them overseas. Ultimately, they were not charged with any crimes.

A week later, three young Arab men were arrested in Michigan and charged with providing material support for terrorism acts and terrorism surveillance. They had about a thousand of the disposable, untraceable cell phones in their van. Police say they had thrown away the phone chargers for the phones, which indicates they were going to be sent overseas where different electrical outlets are used.

Another Michigan resident was arrested in Pennsylvania after being stopped on a traffic violation and being found with 15 of the untraceable, disposable cell phones and $4,200 cash. Malkhaz Zakutashvilli admitted to being in the country illegally, although he had a Michigan driver’s license.

The story has touched Tennessee, too. Just last week, two men (Stanislav Legkunets, 19, and Konstantine Mkbitarian, 47) from Soviet Georgia, Russia living in the vicinity of Dearborn, Michigan, were detained by police in Monterey, Tennessee after they refused to leave the local Family Dollar store. They were found in possession of over 100 of the disposable, untraceable cell phones and $6000 in cash. Homeland Security and the FBI have clamped down on all information about this story, even though people throughout the Upper Cumberland are certainly talking about it.

Why do so many young, mostly Muslim, men in the Dearborn, Michigan area suddenly have such an interest in making bulk purchases of phones that can be used for terrorist purposes? More importantly, why is the mainstream media ignoring the obvious connections between these and other arrests that are taking place all over the country?

Perhaps there is no terrorist connection to the purchase of large numbers of phones that can be used to evade government intelligence gathering and detonate roadside bombs. Keep in mind, that these same phones were used by Islamic terrorists to detonate bombs on trains in Madrid a few years back. Terror plots are foiled every day in this country. Most Americans are blissfully unaware of the threats we face because the mainstream media fails to alert us to the dangers we are facing within our own borders. Ignorance may be bliss, but it also puts us all at greater risk.

AMNESTY DETAILS START TO EMERGE. - May 20, 2007 - May 27, 2007
The details of the secret “deal” constructed by the Bush Administration, Ted Kennedy and John McCain that will grant amnesty and immediate legal status to millions of illegals currently are slowly starting to emerge. And as usual, the details are proving devilish.

We have been told that there are 12 million illegal aliens in the country. Some estimates put the number much, much higher, closer to 20 million. The new Z-visa that is at the center of the amnesty plan does not put a cap on...
LEGISLATIVE LUNACY HITS NEW LOW IN MICHIGAN. - April 8, 2007 - April 15, 2007
Maybe it is a disease they contract when they are first sworn into office. Or, perhaps it is a virus that is spread from continuous close contact with lobbyists. Regardless of how they “get it”, it seems that legislators cannot seem to avoid being infected with an uncontrollable affinity for spending taxpayer money (even when the state’s coffers are empty) and engaging in seemingly endless debate about inane topics.

Tennessee legislators are definitely not immune. In the current session...
LAWSUIT PUTS ALL OF US AT GREATER RISK OF TERROR. - April 1, 2007 - April 8, 2007
Since the horrific events of 9-11 travel through airports has become a complicated security maze. We take off our shoes and belts, empty our pockets, and patiently (usually) tolerate intrusive scrutiny that would have been unimaginable just a few short years ago. We are told that we should be aware of our surroundings and immediately report suspicious activity or unattended bags or packages to the authorities. Because of these precautions potential terror attacks have been avoided and lives have...
WHY IRISH EYES ARE SMILING. - March 20, 2007 - March 27, 2007
Expert estimates of the total number of illegal aliens currently in the U.S. range from 12 to 18 million. They share one thing in common: they are ALL criminals -- every single one of them.

Most entered the country illegally; others came legally but overstayed visas and became illegal when they chose not to depart as promised. Virtually all are WORKING here illegally, though some illegally live off of our generous welfare system. Many commit additional crimes while here, ranging from f...
READING IS FUNDAMENTAL - March 15, 2007 - March 22, 2007
Last week the federal appeals court in Washington, D.C. issued the most important gun control ruling in 70 years when it used the Second Amendment to overturn a gun ban in the nation’s Capitol. In a 2-1 decision, the Court rejected arguments from the city that the Constitutional “right to bear arms” only applied to militias. The majority specifically held that rights under the 2d Amendment “are not limited to militia service, nor is an individual’s enjoyment of the right contingent” on enrollmen...
